An easy oat biscuit recipe with no rolling out

Weigh ingredients

Preheat the oven to 170 deg C and line a baking tray with baking parchment or greasproof paper

Mix dry ingredients

Let the children weigh out the oats, flour, sugar and baking powder and mix them together in a large bowl

Melt butter

Using a saucepan or a microwave melt the butter, milk and syrup

Mix all ingredients

Add the melted butter mixture to the dry ingredients and let the kids mix it all together

Spoon out

Let the kids spoon out about 12 dollops of mixture onto the baking tray and make sure there's some space between them as the biscuits will spread when they're cooking

Bake in the centre of the oven for 10 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown

Leave the biscuits to cool for 5 minutes on the tray before moving them
